We are interested in doing a Budget Workshop to help our sisters in this difficult economy. Anyone who would like to participate should keep a record of all their expenses for one month. Make sure to keep a detailed list, so you can tell how much money you are spending in each category (i.e. rent/mortgage, entertainment, groceries, etc.). At this time we are planning this activity for Thursday, August 19, 2010, at 6:30 PM.
We would like any CPAs or professionals with experience in budgeting who can share their expertise to call Sister Blamires if you would like to volunteer your assistance. We would like to do hands-on budgets, allowing each individual to see how to make a budget to fit their own circumstances.

Quilt Making Project
Our next Relief Society Meeting will center on Humanitarian Service. We plan to begin our Quilt Making Project on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 6:30 PM. Our current goal is to make 5 queen sized quilts to donate to the Humanitarian Center. Many of our sisters have volunteered to bring fabric, yarn, or donate funds to purchase needed materials. Please follow the guidelines for materials for a double (queen) quilt. We are in need of sisters willing to donate their time to making quilts. We plan to have enough materials to tie 2 quilts on May 20th and have material available for cutting and/or piecing together for the other quilts.
Church Launches New Website
A new Church website sponsored by LDS Family Services, www.combatingpornography.org, offers useful tools for individuals striving to overcome pornography addiction and provides support information for parents, spouses, and Church leaders.
